We had 23 bags of yard waste!

Today our Connection Class (or Sunday School class) enjoyed cleaning up the Memorial Garden at the High Point Pregnancy Care Center. The center defines this garden as "a place for remembering the lives of children lost through miscarriage or abortion thereby promoting healing for their families." What a special garden this is!  Our class was able to clean out 23 bags worth of yard waste and tons of sticks. We also planted lots of flowers and small bushes and covered the entire garden with mulch. We were very pleased with the final product.  We were all exhausted by the end but it was actually a lot of fun! Dylan and Evan definitely enjoyed being outside and they were really big helpers.

Today I am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this act of service. I had a miscarriage prior to having Dylan so this memorial garden really touches my heart. I was able to plant lots of flowers in memory of our unborn baby. The Pregnancy Care Center is right, it is a place of healing for families. I am also thankful for the High Point Pregnancy Care Center and other centers like it. I absolutely love that they are giving women the valuable information they need about the choices they have but also sharing the love of Christ with them. This center is such a blessing to our community.
