"House Selling Business"
Bryan and I have had our house for sale for a while now so, our ears perk up when we hear about other homes that have sold. In the past several months, we have heard some really awesome house-selling stories.
A while back one of my friends, whose family was in need of a larger home because of their growing family, told me an amazing story. They had their home on the market for a while and then took it off. They were considering re-listing it when one of their neighbors knocked on their door one afternoon. The neighbor proposed that they "switch" homes but pay their current house payments. The neighbor's children had grown up and they didn't need all the space any longer but our friends were in need of much more space. God out did himself with this one! My friend and her family ended up with a huge home on a cul-de-sac with a fenced in back yard with a pool and playground.
A few months ago, our Pastor was called to move to a church in Mississippi. He and his family quickly put their home on the market. He asked the church to pray for the sale of their home. Within a couple of weeks, their house was sold! In this market, that is nothing short of a miracle!
Today, at the Pizza Inn, we saw some friends from church who have had their home on the market about as long as we have. They shared with us that they would be moving in a few days because their house had finally sold! A man just came up to their front door one day and asked if he could see the home. Now, that same man is buying it. This family needs to be near family members in Pennsylvania because of some medical concerns so, this is a true blessing.
Sometimes selling a home can become a little discouraging but these stories give us hope. Its so good to see that God is at work in so many different and amazing ways! Today I am thankful for these answered prayers. They serve as reminders that God's timing is perfect and He is in the "house selling business!" I just have to keep patiently waiting and enjoying all the lovely, reassuring stories He allows to come my way. He is a God of miracles, even the house-selling kind!

That’s the spirit, Tori! :) Yes, home selling may be discouraging at times, but your patience will definitely lead you to the right buyer. Anyway, is the house already sold? What kind of preparations have you done so far in order to sell your home?
ReplyDeleteWell, you don’t need to be pressured. Just like purchasing house, selling it is not that easy as well. You have to wait for the right person to buy your home. You know, you cannot simply sell your house to someone. Of course, you also want a person or a family that will surely take care of your house just like you did.
