Homeschooling Craziness..I mean Science

Last year we begin a "Homeschool Science Co-Op" with some of our homeschool friends. It was a lot of fun to meet at the park and do Science Experiements together. We started back up today with a fun kick-off! We made Pine Cone Bird Feeders! The kids had a great time (and made a pretty big mess too!)

Before...
Applying Peanut Butter to the pine cones...

Tyson was our little cheerleader while we made our craft!
Evan was so precise with his Peanut Butter.
Putting on the Bird Seed.
After....
The whole WILD group!

Today I am thankful for the homeschooling Mommies that have become such great friends of mine over the past few years. We have so much laughing and sympathizing with one another. We all have at least 3 kids and Dylan (who is only 7) is the oldest! So you can probably imagine all the chaos and giggling and whining and booboos that occur anytime we get together! I am grateful for the ability to teach our children outdoors or indoors, as a big group or at home, wearing pajamas or mismatched shoes (or both), doing hands-on-activities or just getting the energy out! We get to do so many fun activities whenever we want to! Homeschooling can be overwhelming and crazy at times but spending time together with other homeschooling families makes it so much fun!
