What will it bee?

Our sweet little guy, Dylan, turned 6 years old today! For months he has been requesting that we find out what the baby is on his birthday. I wasn't sure it would work out but it did! This morning we all went to the doctor to have the big 20 week ultrasound. We had the ultrasound technician write the gender on a card an place it in an envelope. None of us knew what was inside!

We celebrated Dylan's birthday with lunch and games at Chuck E. Cheese. Dylan and Evan had so much fun! Afterward, we took the envelope over to Harris Teeter and had the florist put the appropriate color of balloons in our box and tape it shut. It was torture carrying that envelope and box around. I was so excited to find out what this baby is!

Tonight, we had all of our family over for a "What will it bee?" gender reveal party. Dylan has been so excited to have this party on his birthday! After eating lots of yummy food we let the boys open a very special present! They tore open the box and pink balloons popped out!!! Everyone was clapping and yelling! It was absolutely priceless! This little girl is already so loved!

PINK!!!!!
Our little family couldn't be happier!!!!
This has been such a special day. I loved spending my big boy's sixth birthday with him doing exactly what he wanted to do. It amazes me that he wanted to spend his special day finding out what "his" baby is! He has wanted a girl all along so seeing those pink balloons was just icing on the cake!

Today I am thankful for my incredibly smart, sweet, lovable, thoughtful and funny 6 year old little boy! God truly blessed us when He placed Dylan in our family. I am also grateful for pink balloons! We would have been happy with another little boy but knowing that we'll be adding a little girl to our family is so exciting! There are no granddaughters on either side of our families so seeing pink was amazing for all of us tonight! The party was so much fun for everyone, especially Dylan. Finding out the gender of our sweet little girl along with all of our family was absolutely wonderful! What a special way to end Dylan's special day!
