My Heart is So FULL!

Today I turned 38 years old. Wow, that sounds so crazy. I definitely don't feel 38! My family made me feel so loved and celebrated today! They made me a birthday birthday, gave me wonderful presents, let me go get my nails done, spent time being "crafty" with me, took me out for Mexican food, and blessed me over and over again with their kind words.

I can't wait to see what our pottery projects look like after they are fired.

Today I am grateful for such a wonderful family that made my birthday so special. Tyson and Allison were especially thrilled for the chance to celebrate me. They must have told me "Happy Birthday" 25 times each. They did all they could to make each little part of the day meaningful. The whole family was intentional about making me feel loved and appreciated and it warmed my heart.

This day reminded me of Psalm 37:4 which says,"Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of my heart." Over the past few years I have taken delight in the Lord and allowed Him to have His way in my life. And, just like promised, He has given me the desires of my heart! These precious people, the time we spend together, and the love we share for one another, is exactly what my heart has always desired. He has given even more than I could have asked or imagined! I spent years dreaming of the life I am currently living. My heart is so full!
